GREY’S GAMBIT: RANKING THE MEDVEDEV BROTHERS

⚖️ THE COURT OF BAD DECISIONS

Menace. Devotion. Criminal infrastructure. Questionable emotional regulation.

Court is officially back in session.

And this time, we are not operating under Heard Law.

No, baby.

We have entered a different jurisdiction entirely.

♟️ GREY’S GAMBIT

The mafia will mafia. The pieces will move. The ending may require more runway.

Sonja Grey does one thing very well: she gives these men an actual criminal organization.

There are territories.
There are soldiers.
There are underbosses.
There are alliances.
There are consequences.
Everybody has a damn job.

The Medvedev brothers are not three rich men wearing black shirts and calling themselves mafia.

The hierarchy hierarchies.

Now, whether Sonja gives herself enough pages to finish moving all those chess pieces?

That is a separate hearing.

Today we are here for one thing:

Which Medvedev brother reigns supreme?

And after reviewing the evidence, revisiting the crimes, and considering the emotional foolishness, the Court has reached its decision.

🥇 #1 — VOLODYA

The Gambit Winner

Charges: Premeditated Emotional Denial, Aggravated Knife Usage, Fraudulent Claims of “I Don’t Do Relationships”

Vladdy Daddy came into this case with rules.

No relationships.

No feelings.

No repeats.

Women do not come to his house.

Everybody knows the arrangement.

Clean. Simple. Efficient.

Then he accidentally kidnaps Maddie.

And within approximately forty-eight business hours this man has:

Bought her a Jeep.

Found the best oncologist in the city for her mother.

Created a fund to pay for her mother’s cancer treatment.

Allowed her into his home.

Introduced her to his three Cane Corsos.

Started rearranging his entire damn life.

All while standing there like:

“I don’t want a relationship.”

Sir.

YOU STARTED A FOUNDATION.

🤣🤣🤣

And that is exactly why Volodya takes first place.

He is dangerous without being pointlessly cruel.

He is emotionally constipated without making Maddie pay for his fear.

He likes knives.

He likes classic muscle cars.

He has steak night with his dogs.

He takes bubble baths.

He will stab a man in the hand with a fork for looking at Maddie too long.

This man contains multitudes.

♟️ Grey’s Gambit Ruling:

Volodya did not merely move the pieces.

He bought the board, upgraded the transportation, funded the healthcare plan, secured the perimeter, and then tried to claim he was not playing.

Guilty.

First place.

Vladdy Daddy wins the Gambit.

🥈 #2 — VALERI

The Chaos Piece

Charges: Aggravated Messiness, Unlicensed Family Surveillance, Conspiracy to Start Weddings Nobody Requested

My baby Valeri.

The youngest brother.

The chaos correspondent.

The family gossip.

The man who can walk into somebody else’s book and immediately make it more entertaining.

Valeri sees Volodya and Maddie dancing?

Takes a picture.

Sends it to Vasily.

Volodya says he is going to be late?

Valeri already knows why.

“Oh, I bet you are.”

🤣🤣🤣

He has been planning this man’s wedding since Maddie had been kidnapped for approximately three nights.

His reasoning?

Volodya had not killed her yet.

Therefore:

Soulmate.

Honestly?

I cannot argue with the logic.

Valeri may be the lightest personality of the three brothers, but do not get confused.

He is still Medvedev Bratva.

He can joke with his brothers, stir the pot, and then turn around and handle actual criminal business.

That combination is exactly why he lands at number two.

♟️ Grey’s Gambit Ruling:

Every chessboard has a piece nobody can quite predict.

Valeri is that piece.

Except this piece also has a camera phone, access to the family group chat, and absolutely no respect for anybody’s privacy.

He does not simply participate in Grey’s Gambit.

He provides commentary.

Guilty of making everybody else’s business his business.

Second place.

🥉 #3 — VASILY

The Man Who Built the Board

Charges: Excessive Pakhan Behavior, Weaponized Husbandry, Establishing Criminal Infrastructure Without Proper Emotional Boundaries

Now listen.

Vasily ranking third does not mean Vasily is weak.

Absolutely not.

In fact, from a pure mafia standpoint?

This man may be the strongest of the three.

Vasily came into a new city and established territory.

He has soldiers.

He has enforcers.

He has businesses.

He understands alliances.

He understands consequences.

He knows when somebody crosses the line and responds accordingly.

And his marriage policy is very simple:

Say something disrespectful about Nina?

He may remove your tongue.

Clear.

Concise.

No ambiguity.

Employee handbook updated.

🤣🤣🤣

He also loves dogs, rescues women, handles his family, and somehow manages to be both terrifying and deeply devoted.

And when Volodya ends up accidentally kidnapping the wrong woman?

Vasily’s solution is immediately:

Marry her.

Because apparently he has decided forced marriage is now an approved Medvedev conflict-resolution strategy.

Sir.

This is why HR stopped returning your calls.

♟️ Grey’s Gambit Ruling:

Vasily may rank third in personal preference, but let us be very clear:

There is no Grey’s Gambit without Vasily.

He established the structure.

He built the hierarchy.

He secured the territory.

He gave everybody else the board they are currently running around acting foolish on.

Guilty of building the entire damn criminal infrastructure.

Third place.

And somehow still absolutely essential.

⚖️ FINAL RULING

After reviewing all available evidence, the Court finds:

🥇 Volodya

Guilty of winning Grey’s Gambit while pretending he was not emotionally participating.

🥈 Valeri

Guilty of turning organized crime into a family group-chat event.

🥉 Vasily

Guilty of building the criminal infrastructure everybody else keeps abusing.

And collectively?

The Medvedev brothers are guilty of proving something I have been saying since Book 1:

THE MAFIA IS MAFIAING.

The hierarchy?

Hierarchied.

The brothers?

Brothered.

The devotion?

Completely unreasonable.

The emotional regulation?

Pending review.

The kissing?

Unfortunately still under investigation.

And Grey’s Gambit?

♟️ Fully active.

OFFICIAL 13PAGES RANKING

1. VOLODYA — Vladdy Daddy
2. VALERI — The Chaos Piece
3. VASILY — The Pakhan

Court adjourned.

Until somebody commits another fictional felony.
